AN ACT relative to preparation of fiscal notes.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Preparation of Fiscal Notes; Sources of Information. Amend RSA 14:46, I to read as follows:
I.
Fiscal impact notes shall be prepared by the legislative budget assistant with
such assistance and data as he or she may require from any state
agency, political subdivision, or any other source of data which he or she
deems reliable, including but not limited to private individuals, corporations,
and associations located within or without the state; provided, that the
legislative budget assistant shall not use any information provided by lobbyists
registered under RSA 15:1 in the preparation of any fiscal note. [He]
The legislative budget assistant shall identify in the fiscal note
the source or sources of the data.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
